Agender is an umbrella term that can cover a number of different identities. Agender people sometimes find that they are left out of public conversations around the LGBTQ+ community. We want any young person who may fall under the agender umbrella to know that there's a place for you at akt.

Agender is an identity under the non-binary and trans+ umbrella. Some agender people feel that they have no gender identity, while others feel that agender is itself a gender identity. This can be similar to or overlap with the experience of being gender neutral, or having a neutral gender identity.

The agender umbrella covers many different identities, including, but not limited to:

  • Agenderfluid - those who identify as both agender and genderfluid.
  • Agenderflux - those who identify as agender, but have fluctuations between feeling feminine or masculine.
  • Genderblank - those who identify theirgender as being so indescribable that the only thought when trying to describe it is a blank space".
  • Genderfree -those who describe their gender as ambiguous, but definitely queer.
  • Polyagender - those who relate to multiple aspects of agender-spectrum; for example they could be a combination of agender, gender-blank, and agenderflux.
