First formed in 1989, akt is there to provide safe homes, mentoring and training for young LGBTQ+ people who have faced rejection, abuse and violence after coming out to their families and communities.

Over the years, the needs of young people have changed and we have been able to respond to their needs and expand our services through the generosity of like-minded individuals.  

If, like us, you can envision a world without LGBTQ+ youth homelessness then making a legacy gift will ensure that we continue to be there for young people in crisis. No young person should have to choose between who they are and a safe place to live.
