LGBTQ+ groups exist to ensure you are supported, empowered and provided with the information you need. Due to the covid-19 pandemic lots of groups are running their events online.


gaysians

Gaysians is the umbrella brand for the South Asian LGBTQIA+ community. We bring together all resources, networks and organisations related to being queer South Asians.


lgbt foundation

LGBT Foundation exists to support the needs of the diverse range of people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans. They provide a wide range of services to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people.


the outside project

LGBTIQ+ Shelter and Community Centre. Their virtual community centre is still up and running with new activities added regularly.


hidayah

Hidayah's projects and activities are developed specifically for the needs of LGBTQI+ Muslims. Their mission is to provide support and welfare for LGBTQI+ Muslims and promote social justice and education about their community to counter discrimination, prejudice and injustice. Their events are currently only taking place virtually and the Hidayah Wellbeing & Spirituality WhatsApp group, social media, emails and other digital services are still running as normal.


keshetuk

KeshetUK work to ensure that Jewish LGBT+ people and their families are included throughout Jewish life in the UK. They've put together a list of Jewish LGBTQ+ organisations that offer support, guidance and social groups.


the proud trust

The Proud Trust helps LGBT+ young people empower themselves, to make a positive change for themselves, and their communities. They do this through youth groups, coordinating national and regional LGBT+ youth work networks, managing the LGBT+ Centre for Manchester, delivering of training, running events and campaigns, undertaking research and creating resources. Every group is different, but mostly they are a chance to meet people, to chat, to learn new skills and to have fun. If you’re feeling a little nervous about coming along or you’re unsure of the area, you can contact them to arrange for a peer supporter, volunteer or staff member to meet you.
